Think You Can't Afford A Organic Mattress? Think Again...
Here is the problem... A couple thinks a $800 bed and 2 King mattresses from the local mattress store is a great buy the local furniture store mattress salesman practically gives the mattress away to sell the $800 bed!
What is wrong with this picture? Shouldn't the mattress be of good quality and last longer than most marriages? I feel it is a complete waste of money here is why....
Is buying a cheap bed from China really great value? Let's say they get 5 years interest free financing, that mattress and bed probably won't last 5 years and you will still be paying on it before you even pay off the bill. Isn't a good nights sleep for the next 3-4 decades more important?
Did you know according to The Better Sleep Council, mattresses have a planned obsolesce of 5 - 7 years? You can spend $1,000 every 5 years on a regular mattress which is $5,000 in 30 years or 1/2 that on a Savvy Rest organic mattress and get a mattress that will last decades. I know people are still sleeping on latex mattresses 50 years later. But you need to consider how it is built., this is the difference. Without good sleep it's called "Sleep Deprivation" it can affect your memory, relationships, energy. Many people are sleep deprived and don't even know it. Good sleep is essential to good health. It's a fact a person can develop full blown diabetes in just 6 days without sleep. Most people will sleep on a bad mattress for 4.5 years after the mattress is no longer comfortable. We only have one body so why the torture to save a few bucks? It's better to save up to buy a good mattress or get a donated one to tied you over while you make the money to buy a good one than pay $300 for someone else's Pain at least you saved the $300 and you have the possibility of getting a better mattress.
Think You Can't Afford a Organic Mattress? Think Again...
It's such a shame the decisions people make because they think Organic mattresses are not affordable, I guess they haven't been to my store lately. They could have gotten a mattress that is built better, lasted longer, non-toxic and affordable to many lower budget shoppers.
I have a promotion on platform beds. They could have gotten a cool custom made, sustainable, solid wood platform bed for $199 with the purchase a Savvy Rest Organic Serenity all natural latex mattress (local sales only). I have a beautiful King Cherry Bed in the warehouse I think we could have made work for them that I have been looking for the right home for to donate to a really needy family. Plus, we now have 100% Organic Queen Earth Spring mattresses as low as $1,499.
If they wanted a King they could have gotten 4 King organic camping mats, it would make a King size mattress for only $1,240. that will last decades and sleep as good as any other regular mattress if not better.
Here is how to make your own organic latex mattress. You can put together (4) Twin Extra Long 39"x 80" Tri-fold camping mat sections starting at $310 for each split layered section, it will also make into latex folding chairs because it is a Tri-fold. The folds aren't a problem to sleep on either, it's no different than sleeping on the couch with cushions except it's not polyurethane foam. Which every time you sit down you release countless PBDE's into the air.
Made from Organic cotton, all natural latex and coconut coir, needless to say much more durable than anything they could have bought at one of the mattress or furniture stores in town, not customizable but neither is the cheap polyurethane foam mattress. Still it has no coils, no polyurethane foam to break down quickly, no formaldehyde or chemical flame retardants.
You could even make your own queen mattress by putting 4 cot size camping mats together. $250 for each layer (2) on each side is very comfortable. If you only have $250 start with that, get one layer, it's better than nothing at all collect all 4 and you have a Queen size mattress.
The Camping Mats are so versatile you can take it camping because it folds up and can be easily transported, but not on a back pack hiking. You can even make your own organic furniture cushions.
They are even affordable for college students. But we have a strict policy of selling them as "outdoor camping mats" not mattresses because there is no wool or chemical flame retardants in them. But how you use them is your business.
